Global Comparative Politics

This is course is designed for providing the students a basic understanding of Comparative Politics and giving a broad view of it as a field. This includes political systems, policies, economic institutions, regime change, political economy of wealth, and development. These concepts, their definitions, and country examples will prepare the student for comprehending various parts of the world. In doing so, the students will gain the ability to compare and contrast geographies as well as understand the similarities between countries. The students should not view this course as description of single countries, but rather should seek to find patterns in similarities and differences between them.
